Love God | Love Learning | Love Self | Love Others
“St. Cyril is a wonderful school and community, which not only teaches the minds of children but also enriches their lives. I have two children currently at St. Cyril and one who graduated in 2022. My daughter who graduated in 2022 was well-prepared for high school. She was accepted to each of the schools that she applied, and was guided by her 8th grade homeroom teacher, Mrs. Cohen, to choose the school that best suits her. She found herself in 8th grade through the help of Mrs. Cohen and many of the other amazing faculty. She grew in confidence and maturity and has been able to bring those attributes to high school where she is excelling immensely. My middle child is currently in 6th grade, and he has finally begun to appreciate all that St. Cyril has to offer him. He willingly spends his lunch period taking part in the Kushim Writing Club, hosted by his 6th grade homeroom teacher Mr. Miller, listening to writers, poets, journalists, and other artists share their creative writing knowledge with the students. He loves the hands-on projects that are offered in science class as well as the virtual field trips he takes in history class. I am confident that he will be as well prepared for high school as my eldest daughter was. My youngest daughter is currently in 4th grade and is loving life at St. Cyril. She often has a story to tell about how funny her teacher is and how much she enjoys school. There has been a large focus on reading over the years which has helped her strengthen her reading skills. Mixed with all the academic learning that St. Cyril provides is the equally important Catholic religious education that the students learn. Opening the school day with prayer and closing it in the same manner teaches the children that God is their beginning and end. Everything they do in between those times should reflect the core Catholic beliefs that are instilled in them. Sometimes I wonder why my family has chosen to send our children to a Catholic school when it would be so much easier to send them to their local public school, but then I am reminded that because of the dedication of the phenomenal teachers, administration, and staff and the daily encouragement and support of their beliefs my children are getting something so much greater than book education; they are building their lives and creating a foundation based on love, learning, friendship, and faith.”

“St. Cyril was such a wonderful opportunity for my child to find a community of peers to grow, learn, and achieve with. A great deal of research is devoted to studying the benefits of multi-year same peer/ teacher education and that is one of the great things about St Cyril. It gave my child the opportunity to learn and grow with peers and instructors throughout the years from kindergarten through eighth grade and to get a greater sense of comfort and understanding of friendships, finding one’s voice without the annual change of teachers and students; it allowed a level of self confidence and comfort in the classroom and self reflection that is only achieved when a child is grounded in their environment and their surroundings.
I also loved the amount of involvement at St Cyril through sports, mock trial, academic decathlon, theatre, and student council. With the school being more like a family in both size and experience the students are supported in trying and participating in all aspects of student life and the involvement rate is extremely high.
I am very grateful that we found St Cyril and decided to choose it as our school as it gave my child all of the tools which allowed for a comfortable transition into the high school of choice while giving the support and knowledge necessary to allow for acceptance to Marymount, Notre Dame, and Harvard Westlake.”

“Saint Cyril was such a truly wonderful experience, and I am so blessed that it served as a home from kindergarten through eighth grade. Growing up with one class for ten years was so beneficial because it taught me how to grow and maintain relationships, leaving in eighth grade with friendships that will last a lifetime. It is also such a unique experience to be surrounded by teachers who, one, have been connected with us since kindergarten and, two, who really know one’s character. Not only is the school fantastic for relationships, but it is also filled with wonderful extracurriculars, and students are given an amazing opportunity to test out different activities and develop interests. As a student, Saint Cyril helped me to balance my studies with theater, academic decathlon, mock trial, student council, and sports such as volleyball, softball, and basketball. I am so grateful to have been able to attend Saint Cyril because I entered high school thoroughly prepared, and, as a current high school student, I feel that I learned invaluable lessons that will help me throughout my academic years and beyond.”
